So it's been foreeeevveeer! Sometimes life and the "real job" takes over and there never seems any time to take a breath and get it all out on paper. But this week I was having a mental day at work where nothing was been achieved anyway. I manage an art centre so it seemed only right I practise what I preach and throw some paint around to get it all out. Also, I had made a deal earlier in the year with the artists. They needed a challenge, so I said if they tried painting a portrait (something they've never done before) I would do it too. They had done theres and I hadn't...probably cause I was secretly more terrified than they were! Painting is not something I really ever do but you know it was very therapeutic and when you're in a rut I'll try anything to get inspired!

They Draw and Cook - Illustrated Recipe Party

Just submitted for http://www.theydrawandcook.com/glad-party with my friend Casey. Cooking in the desert is always fun because we have a very small shop with limited ingredients. But this always is part of the challenge to out cook each other. On the day the Beetroot Triplicity began it had rained so hard we couldn't leave town as planned. The cupboard was bare ...except for a can of beetroot, beef and biltong.

52 Week Challenge - Caravan

 Can't go caravan-ing in Australia without running into a kangaroo! 

Did this with Jonah (6yrs) flying from Adelaide to Sydney yesterday.

Me, aged ten. 

Travelled with my family and ten other families around Australia for twelve months. 

So many adventures and friends for life.

52 Week Challenge - Kids

I'm jumping on board the 52 Week Challenge at Week 2. The theme is "KIDS", so Jonah (Age 6) and I are back again playing picture tag. The best place to go with the kids at this time of year (on this side of the world!) is the beach..so here we are! And just for fun, here's Jonah and Hugo being their usual comedic selves!!
